Polishing Your Jewelry	Sterling silver can tarnish over time or if exposed to chemicals such as chlorine or if unworn for long periods of time. Polish gently with a cloth made for jewelry polishing available at many jewelry stores.

Sterling Silver	Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% by mass of pure silver and 7.5% by mass of other metals, usually copper. Sterling silver is hypo-allergenic though a few people may have reactions depending on their individual body chemistry. With regular ware, sterling silver does not tarnish, however if not worn for a period of time, the copper or other metals can tarnish or blacken. A polishing cloth is the simplest way to clean and polish your sterling silver.
